Leave Time
What time to leave to make the train.
The nearest station is often not the fastest one.
Your current commute was built by a previous version. Saving replaces it.
Already know your station? Add it.
Applies to the routes it finds.
Your addresses go once, through this site, to the map services that measure the trip. Nothing is written to the Drawer's own server.
This app is much more useful with a real address. A zero above is a guess, not a measured walk or drive, so your leave time could be off by however long that trip actually takes.
Your setup still works, nothing needs doing. Leave Time can now build a fuller commute, with subway legs, transfers, and the walks in between, if you want to rebuild it.
Subway times here come from the published schedule. Leave Time checks TTC for full closures, not for delays or other alerts. See them yourself at ttc.ca.
Order, and which one opens
Star what you land on, arrows set the order. Saved as you go.
The four with − and + are your own padding, saved on this device. Every other minute is your saved commute's own, named where it is spent. .
No more trains today.
Check GO Transit for full schedule details.
Built on the GO feed, for getting into downtown Toronto and back out. GO Train and UP Express direct only, no bus replacement legs. It reads the live feed for delays, cancellations and platform assignments, and reverts to the published timetable if the feed goes quiet.

Your setup
Your addresses, station, buffers, any commute chain you have built and saved, and whether you avoid toll roads are kept in this browser only. They are never written to the Drawer's own server.
At setup, your addresses are sent once through this site to Google Maps to measure the walk to Union and the trip from your station home. Google returns durations; nothing is kept on the Drawer's own server. What Google itself does with an address it receives is Google's own policy, not the Drawer's, and is outside what this page can promise. Coordinates you paste go the same way once, to be labelled with the nearest street; a short map link you paste is opened once by this site to read the coordinates from where it leads, and no record of the link is kept.
Each answer sends only your station code to the schedule database. Standard usage counts are logged like every other tool here. When a search or a lookup fails, the page also logs which kind of failure it was and which service failed, and nothing about your trip.
The page loads Google Analytics to count visits and see how the page is used, and Google sets its own cookies in this browser to do it. Google is never sent your addresses or the places you travel between. Clear my setup does not remove Google's cookies. Your browser's own settings do.
To keep the daily lookup allowance yours rather than your whole office's, this browser holds a random token (sixteen bytes, no meaning) that goes with each lookup and is hashed before it is counted. It identifies this browser to the lookup counter and nothing else.
The drive and walk times a proposal buys are kept in this browser, dated, so a repeat proposal reuses them instead of buying them again: traffic times for a week, walks and road times for a month. Nothing about them is stored on the server.
For the rest of the day, this browser also remembers which train this card is tracking and which view it was shown in, so a reopen after your leave time keeps the train you left for. It is stamped with the date and ignored after midnight. No cookie; nothing leaves the device.
On leaveti.me this browser also remembers the day you first opened the page and whether you were asked to add Leave Time to your home screen, said Not now, or added it, so you are asked once. It also keeps a small script of Leave Time's (a service worker) so Chrome can offer the install; every request still goes to the network, and it saves nothing for offline.
Clear my setup removes all of it from this browser: the addresses, the station, the buffers, the saved chain, the tracked train, the toll road preference, the visitor token, the cached lookups, and the record of which one-time notices you have already read.
One-off trips are not stored. A trip planned through "Plan a one-off trip" is forgotten when the page closes: its addresses, its date and its routes are kept nowhere, not even in the cached drives and walks.
